Help after map update.

After updating my map on GO930, I've lost favs (was expecting this anyway), however i'm unable to retrieve them from my back up.

I've read the FAQ and i'm still stuck.

I can locate, read and save the contents of the MapSettings.cfg file using poiedit. After importing the saved file into my 930's map folder, the favourite icons are still greyed out. What am i doing wrong?
The saved file is TomTom Binary format.

Help.

Problem appears solved using windows explorer.

So I'm assuming you've just copied the MapSettings.cfg (or mapsettings.cfg) file back into the new map folder to get your Favourites back?
What program were you trying to do it with before you used Windows Explorer?

Just for interests sake, POI Edit can OPEN the MapSettings.cfg file and see all the addresses stored in it (Favourites, recent destinations, home location etc.)

However, it can't SAVE the MapSettings file. It is only able to SAVE the locations you choose as a standard .ov2 POI file, so they would now appear as entries in a new POI category and the Favourites would still be empty.
