I have some ov2 files on my PC and wish to transfer them to my sat nav.

How can this be done?

Are there detailed instructions for those like me who are not very good with computers?

There's no need to use "Home" for this...

All you need to do is to copy the .ov2 files into the named map folder on the unit (Western Europe, Europe, Great Britain, etc... whatever yours is called).

However, you should also have some matching .bmp files (with the same names as the .ov2 ones). These are the icons that you will see on screen.
If they are missing, the POIs will still work, but you'll just get a red square on screen instead.

The icons need to be 22x22 or 24x24 bitmap files.

To do the copying, just connect the TomTom to the computer and it should appear as a new disk drive so you can browse the contents with Windows Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer, that's completely different!) WIndows Explorer will be in the Start menu, or you can also use "My Computer" which is basically the same thing.

Use the normal Windows COPY routines to get the files you want, then go to the TomTom drive, open up the map folder and PASTE the files in there.

That's it.
You then use the TomTom's "Show POI on Map" menu to choose which ones you want to see.
