Is anybody else having trouble converting POI files to rupi files using the sygic converter? I have converted the safety camera files ok but any other poi file from the list doesn`t seem to work. I have tried using the additional link as well but no joy. Any help would be appreciated.

ok, found out how to do it, you need to alter the first line of the csv files to exactly the same format as the speed cam files, if you compare the two you can see the difference.

It does say that on the Sygic website Very Happy It's the comma as a data separator that counts.

It is an old post, but it is very frustrating having to swap teh first line of the PGPS POI files for delimiter=,

Sygic is now a VERY popular navigation program. Why cant it have its own download format?

It has. It's called Sygic Aura. I download it every week. Shocked

Here's an extract. What else do you think you need?

delimiter=,
-0.99137,53.41799,"W-SPECS:3979@50"
-0.91174,53.40714,"W-SPECS:4096@50"
-1.09871,52.93298,"NE-SPECS:10060@70"
-0.84649,52.2736,"S-SPECS:10061@50"
-0.84326,52.26571,"S-SPECS:10062@50"
-0.84184,52.26291,"S-SPECS:10063@50"
-0.83497,52.25238,"N-SPECS:10064@50"

If you choose Sygic Aura it comes in CSV format, which then needs converting to rupi.

I think what the poster means is why doesn't PGPSW provide the database in rupi format. And I echo that sentiment. It is now a popular choice and it should be available without conversion just like other systems are.

Brilliant. Where do I get it from? The only options on the "Select SatNav System" are
TomTom(OV2)
CSV (Garmin Satmap etc)
ASC (Navman etc)
Tab Delimited (Sygic Mobile Maps etc)
KML (iGO, NDrive etc)

Oh, you are talking about the Speed Cams. I do not use them. I am looking for POIs, which is what the OP asked about. In any case, why is it not in RUPI or UPI format directly?

I agree with the Sygic format ready to go idea (C'mon MaFt), but you don't have to change the header of each file as you suggest. Very Happy

You do for POIs, which is what this thread started about and what I posted about. I don't care about the speed cams, it is much easier to stick to the speed limit.

Me too Embarassed

I would like the rupi version for the cameras. They are downloaded much more often the the POIs.

We can't generate the .rupi files directly on the server and I never had any response from Sygic when I asked for any method we could do this.

As such the best I can do is do the csv with the header which would need manually rupifying.

"CSV (for Sygic RUPI Converter)" now added to the POI downloads.

Please test and let me know if it's all sorted.
