I planned a route, south on A1, east on A14 then up A143 through a waymark at Diss and up to Holt on the north Norfolk coast. The Zumo 550 wanted me to turn off the A1 towards Newark and Kings Lynn. Even when I ignored it, it kept insisting on turning me around for miles. When I was aproaching Cambridge, it decided to route me straight up Norfolk, ignoring my waymark. The unit is set for 'truck' other than that everything standard.
What’s the point of a Mapsource pre planned route, if the unit ignores it and goes for a different route? Or am I missing something?
It's been suggested that I turn off recalculate, which may have ignored my chosen route? Is that correct?
As an aside, I did travel up to Holt and back using GPS, why on earth would it take two different routes? One used the Norwich ring road, the return went through Norwich centre. I haven't got any traffic alerts on the unit to have influenced the change of route.

Make sure that you are using the same map on Mapsource and your 550, if not the 550 will recalculate it when you load it. _________________ Garmin Zumo 550
