|
|
Hi Everyone,
I'm considering purchasing the Pogo Alert Plus V2 but before I do can anyone offer any advice on it? Is it any good, does the DB get updated regularly, that kind of thing.
Also, I installed CamerAlert on my HTC Desire today and so far it seems to be quite good. I notice that the Pogo does not detect the X, K, Ka and Super Wideband Ka by having a built in radar detector but instead it appears to rely on having these radar locations on its DB. If this is the case then is the Pogo really worth the money when compared to CamerAlert?
Thanks everyone. |

£250 and with the addition of a useless laser detector If you have Cameralert, why would you want to spend that sort of money |

Let's be honest. By the time a laser/radar detector has detected the laser/radar, started to alert you, you've heard it, reacted to it and slowed down..... Youve been caught. |

Hi Everyone and thanks for the replies so far.
M8TJT - I don't think it's worth asking Pogo as I'm pretty sure they will say their DB is the best and gets updated the quickest with the most accurate information. I figured I'd get a more reliable answer from here where people are more likely to have 'real world' experience of the product.
I'm fairly new to this arena but the more I look into it, the more it seems that these laser detectors are pretty much useless because once your detector goes off (if it goes off) then you have already been caught.
On the other hand, CamerAlert does seem pretty good so I think I'll stick with it and see how it goes.
Thanks everyone. |
