If you do get replacement magnets from somewhere make sure you fit them the correct way around, if you put them in upside down they will repel against the magnets in the lead making it impossible for the connector to stay in place - Mike |

I measured mine before I posted that link l and it certainly looks like 3mm to me.
I don't think a 5mm one from Maplin would work....

Andy, agreed 3mm in the light of the day.
Mike, would'nt dream of putting them in upside down, but watch this space. Thanks for the reminder, anyway.
