Hi.

I've just had a browse through the Binatone F430 on-line manual and can only think of a couple of possibilities.
(A bit more info from you might help make it clearer... At what point do you see this map of London? On the main navigation screen? On the "Browse map" screen. Or at some other time?)

If it is on the main navigation screen, then it may default to that if you have just switched to the UK or Europe map and the device has not got a GPS satellite lock yet (which it won't indoors) Take it outside and once it has worked out where you are, it should show your proper location. From then on, whenever it doesn't have a good signal, it will show the last place where it did, until it gets a new "fix"

Or if it is on the "Browse map" screen, then the situation is similar. As the manual says
Quote:
6.5 Selecting a Point on the Map
This option allows you to move around the map and to select a location which you want to use as your destination.
Tap Point On Map the screen will change to show the map. The location of the map will either be your current/last known GPS position or the last position you viewed on the map.

So I think what I'm saying is that it will all sort itself out once you actually start using the Binatone.

If your issue is different from this, let us know some more details, saying exactly what you are seeing and when.

Is the S/W based on iGO8 as one of your original threads suggested? If so, I can possibly help.

Re-reading your first post... is it just a "splashscreen" image on start-up?

Hi Guys,
Thankyou all, It is now sorted, It was a faulty unit, took it back to Argos and exchanged it, now working perfectly. I will say I spent 40 mins this morning in the car waiting for the GPS, I then went back indoors read manual again, went back to car and sat another 20 mins waiting for GPS. So gave up and returned it to Argos.
Thank Again.
Victormildrew.
