I previously had CoPilot Live 8 for use on htc Touch Pro2, and for which the Camera Database works fine. However, having recently upgraded my smartphone to a Samsung Galaxy S2 running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), my question to the team is if I buy CoPilot Live Premium (Android) - will the CoPilot 8 Camera Database and separately, the POI information, still work?

I would read the following posts, with regards to CoPilot Live Premium.
I use CP 8 Live on a HTC Desre (2.2) and wouldn't touch premium with a bargepole.

What is the advantage of having POI warnings as opposed to running CamerAlert alongside CP Live? Just download the CamerAlert APP.

the advantage is being able to see the camera icons on the map in front of you, rather than trying to guess where and what the warning relates to.
Advanced advantages would be to configure custom POI warnings and icons, just like you used to be able to in GPS sat nav programs. Something is wrong with this industry which has forced users into backward programs and reduced functionality.
CPL premium is supposed to have POI import function, but it doesnt work and there seem to be little effort to get it working.
Some posters have claimed they have it working, but cannot reproduce the steps they have taken. |
