High there all
Super site Thumbs Up
Hope someone can help me with the following
I would like to use a
Rikaline Bluetooth 6031-X7 GPS receiver
or
Rikaline Bluetooth GPS-6030-HS GPS Receiver
on
1 - on a laptop with usb bluetooth dongle running xp and Autoroute
2 - later on with TomTom 3 on a XDA2 (christmas)

Would anyone know if the Rikaline /laptop/bluetooth dongle/Autoroute setup works?
Will the Rikaline/TomTom 3/XDA2 also work
What the difference is between the 6030 and the 6031 apart from looks or simply which is better. Is the HS(high sensivity) any more sensitive than the X7
Many many thanks for any help offered
Jeff

I'm not very familiar with the Rikaline product range - most posts about them here seem to be because they've broken. Whilst it's hardly a scientific sample, Rikaline seem to have more than their fair share of hardware failures.

Rikaline's web site is not that helpful in sorting out the differences - both seem to be SiRFstar IIe/LP based receivers (which is, at the time of writing, the standard SiRF chipset). I'm not clear whether or not the 'Ultra' reference is to Xtrac firmware.

If you're prepared to consider an alternative brand, the Fortuna Clip On gives you the ability to switch between standard SiRF and Xtrac modes, offering the best of both.
