There are plenty of batteries available from e-nay and similar outlets, have a look at This Page for instuctions on getting to the battery, read the whole thread though as there are other tips people have added when they have changed an x20/ x30 battery - Mike |

Changing the battery is not complicated but it is very tricky removing the old battery which is securely stuck to the board without damaging anything. I knocked off a surface mount capacitor next to the battery even though I was taking great care.
Read the pages mentioned above for tips on removing the battery from the board.
My additional tip is to do this on a large table on a non carpeted floor so if you do dislodge anything tiny you can find it again. I could not find my surface mount capacitor on the carpet. _________________ Drivelux |

Or try http://satnavrepairservice.com/. They charged me £25 plus postage last year and have good reports on the forum. _________________ TT Go Essential |

I just changed mine today on my 730. It was a lot easier than I imagined, with the hardest part being getting the old battery off. I used an old credit card that I cut in the shape of an arrow so that I could feed it very gradually and slowly and flat under the battery. This forced its way through the sticky tape without causing any damage. The new battery was only £9 post paid and works a treat. |
