Keith, I just checked for updates and got a message in Home saying "You are currently using the latest version of TomTom Home v2.8.1.2218. There is no newer version available."
Are you on v2.8.1.2218 already?

If not, it's probably just that version being offered and the LT is meaningless. Try it and see! (but keep the install file for the previous version in case you want to go back to it).

I did "update" to it but then uninstalled it after reading the posts about it forcing the 9.058 navcore onto my 540. I then reinstalled 2.7 but didn't read the posts thoroughly and it then tried to update again to 2.8.1.2218lt.
No TT home installed at the moment.

Thanks

Be interesting to see if there's any noticeable difference (like the tickbox being functional again!)

I just changed my application.ini file back to V2.7 to check, TT Home checked for updates and offered me Version 2.8.1.2218 as a 'critical update' - no mention of the 'lt'.

Just downloaded it and installed, its the same old 2.8.1.2218, so its uninstall time and back to V2.7.

Well I finally got fed up with Tom Tom nagging me to update Home to v2.8.12218 that I decided yesterday to backup and go for it, updating the app to v9.058 and Maps to v865 as well. It looks OK except that the dreaded "won't navigate to a City centre" bug has appeared again, with the consequent constant resetting. Guess I'll have to trawl through the Site to see if I can spot the fix. Fortunately it works with Postcodes!

Cheers and have a great Easter everyone, jack.

Ah ha! Found it and I think it has worked - "Forcing it to be rewritten by running the unit through Home-Use my Device, usually sorts it out."

Proof is in the pudding when I use it outside though! Here's hoping.

Cheers, jack.
