I'm running an IPAQ 2210 v1.1 with TT3. I've had a few annoying problems with the kit. The unit has perfomed a factory reset for no reason twice in the last few months, the clock resets itself. With TT3 the volume turns itself off. The back light illumination turns itself to min with the external power connected. Why does the equipment do this or does it have a mine of it's own. Any comments appretiated. |

Until someone a bit more knowledgeable comes along .....
Factory resets.
Check that your battery is mounted properly and the connections are clean. You can take the battery out to check (unit should run on the internal battery for a while). Do you know the battery(s) state when this happened? Other possibility is a hardware fault.
TT3 volume. Does the volume go to zero / become unchecked (file / properties / navigation) or is there no sound? If the later, are you in navigation mode when this (doesn't) happen? (voice instructions only work in nav mode).
Backlight. there are two backlight settings - battery & external power.
Go to : settings / system / backlight / brightness.
Hope this helps. |

I also have TT3 on an Ipaq 2210, it does not suffer with factory resets but it does keep unchecking the sound within TT3 without any reason. once i re-enable it it will run for a while.

There appear to be several reported incidents of TomTom loosing or changing its properties settings for no apparent reason. i certainly have had this happen several times.
If it happens, dont forget to log it with TomTom support.
The only people who will fix it are TomTom. _________________ Fraserp

the problem for tomtom is that for people like me TTN3 on a 2210 runs very well (problems with the app/map/traffic excluded). I get no lockups no bt problems and no dropouts.
I think that the 2210 is probably the most popular current ipaq and therefore shows the most problems _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------
