Hi all,
I've purchased a Via 120 Live (UK & Ireland) and noticed a memory card type slot on the underneath of it. Does anyone know what it's for as there is nothing in the documentatin for this
thanks |

Don't think that slot is for a memory card. Rather, it's for the sim card needed for LIVE functionality. _________________ David |

I hadn't noticed it on mine but now see it. No card in the slot but I receive HD Traffic, Local search with Google and Weather reports. Don't think the QuickGPSfix is available at the moment. It appears you have to buy a card, £47.50 per year at the moment, once the years free is up.
Found this by Googling.

The card you buy doesn't go in the slot either. It just contains a code that you use to unlock the service.
The slot is an SD Card slot for extra maps and storage according to Amazon.co.uk

On the x40 the LIVE Services are enabled by a SIM card that is usually hidden under one of the stickers on the bottom. Even once removed it's still difficult to see / remove the SIM card. |

Got one here, it's a MicroSD slot whose purpose is as yet unknown. MyTomTom doesn't support it yet. Hardly surprising though as it supports very little as yet. _________________ Darren Griffin |
