Looking at the number of questions raised here, with no replies, I assume that a) nobody knows the answers or b) can't be bothered or c) everybody has given up on CP8 and gone eleswhere ? |

It's unusual to see a product with so many questions unanswered. Why I'm not sure but I suspect it's the latter of your possibilities.
Just one of those things unfortunately, I try to cover the most popular apps but CoPilot has never been an app I have personally got on with.
I don't have a copy of CP8 loaded but I'll install and see if I can answer a few. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I love my Co-Pilot 8 and wouldn't swop it.
I find it good & easy to use on my Orbit II. |

Did you mean latter i.e can't be bothered
or
Last i.e. gone elsewhere?
If the latter (i.e. gone elsewhere) where do you think they have gone. Is there a substantially better product for us Android users in the UK? _________________ LostMike

I think they have moved on to other solutions yes. On Android I rate Navigon and Sygic above CoPilot personally. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren
I have tried Aura and am so impressed I think I will probably buy it!
The only problem I have is one of keeping my phone talking to my car stereo by bluetooth audio, so that I can hear the instructions. The problem however is obviously not caused by Aura and so I would rate it as a good product.
I will probably seek guidance on this elsewhere in the Forums.
So it would appear that I am about to become and ex-TomTom person.
Thanks again. _________________ LostMike

I run copilot 8 on my Tmobile compact V ( WM 6.5 ) as a backup sat nav. My main sat nav is a TT XL IQ Live. The copilot even with the free map that they gave us is not as upto date as the TT 860 maps and even more out of date with 865 maps. One thing is that the TT will crash every now and then but the copilot never, just rock solid. Value for money yes but as a main sat nav it's limited. |

I tried Aura briefly but found too many bugs even in the short drives to work.
I.e. driving along the A54 towards the M6 (and wanting to take the M6 north) it told me to take the first exit onto the A54 (both vocally and visually). The first exit is the M6 and the second exit is the A54.
I.e. driving north on the A556 approaching the Bowdon roundabout, wanting the M56 slip towards Manchester (third exit) it told me to take the A56. The A56 (Lymm) is the first exit, and the A56 (Altrincham) is the second exit.
Silly little routing errors that didn't confuse me as I knew the road, but could cause a few unncessary turns if I didn't.
I've emailed them and they've said they'll look into it... |
