Hi,
Oh dear, used the 750 for a trip to North Yorkshire at the weekend and the speed camera sound warnings have gone - the PGPSW camera locations were there on the screen OK but no warnings. I assume they must have gone with the change in mapsettings.cfg file. I have kept the old one so can I find a file or something within that and copy it over into the new cfg file or will I have to re-enter all the warnings manually?
Here's hoping, jack. |

Is anyone able to advise me if there is a file I can copy over as I requested a few days ago?

mapsettings.cfg is the file you need, copy that from your backup to restore all the alert configuration. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren,
I have done that and have downloaded the latest database so I'll try the 750 out over the weekend.
Cheers jack. |

Why not try it out NOW, using a demo route past a camera you know of?
If you don't know how to do that, ask again for some step-by step instructions. |

Thanks Andy_P,
I have tried your suggestion and have failed to get the 750 to run properly. I am hoping this is because I struggle to get a GPS in the house and as it is raining I don't want to go outside. I did manage to get a signal on 3 occasions but I have now given up as it crashed each time. So, I hope that I am not completely back to square one. I'll take it out for a run tomorrow with fingers crossed.
Cheers jack. |

But to demo a route you don't need a GPS fix, it simulates a fix for the demo _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi Darren,
Could you please explain further - I have just tried twice to Navigate to a City Centre and the 750 freezes and reboots before I can input anything.

Someone else has a thread running where everytime they route to anything with the word City in it the unit crashes. Try a road near the City Centre.

Thanks Paul,
Success! I have achieved a demo run and my speed camera warnings are back!
I'll try it out for real tomorrow.
Thanks again everyone for posting.
