Hi. Can someone help me please? I have downloaded the files for camera detection for the Nissan Connect system. It tells me to delete all files except for the file named pocketgps_uk_sc.csv. I am unable to delete the other files due to an error message 0x80004005 unspecified error. Does anyone know what this means and how to resolve it?
Many thanks, Tony. |

My first stab at it....
What are you trying to delete the files from, your PC or a memory stick? |

Hi. Thanks for your response. I have the files saved to a memory stick and also on my PC. Neither will allow me to delete the files as specified in the instuctions. Many thanks for your interest. |

Ah.. I might have it...
Have you actually extracted the files from the download zip archive? You don't mention doing that in your first post.
When you click on a zip archive, Windows tries to be helpful and lets you "see" what the individual files are going to be before you create them, but it won't let you delete them.
So... assuming I'm right, here's what you need to do (apologies if you HAVE done all this!)
What you download is an ARCHIVE - a collection of files all mashed together to create a single entity.
This one will be called something similar to
'pgpsw-speed-cams-XyzAbC.zip' (the letters XyzAbC are random and unique for each download)
Save that to somewhere on the PC.
If you double click on it, Windows Explorer opens up and shows you the files in the archive, but they don't exist yet as individual files yet, so you cannot delete them individually.
On my Windows XP you can then either select "Extract all" from the File menu, or from the 'Folder tasks' box on the left.
Follow the instructions and it will create a NEW FOLDER called 'pgpsw-speed-cams-XyzAbC' in the same place and inside that will be the real files which you can move, copy, delete etc. |

Great, thanks. I did download as a zip file as you correctly surmised. I will try your suggestion and let you know how I get on. Many thanks for your reply and help. |
