Obsolete information on database

My database has become cluttered with obsolete information usually related to roadworks which are now completed. When updating, POILoader offers me the option of deleting all previous entries. Would that solve the problem or will I lose imprtant data?

Look in your POILoader upload folder on your PC. If you have the obsolete TEMP files in there you are still loading them each time. Deleting the information from the unit will help until you upload the data again.

Best way forward identify and delete all the PGPSW camera database files from this folder. Redownload the database and upload it to your unit. See if that fixes the problem.

BTW POILoader deletes all your existing POIs each time you run it. The delete option is there to remove them from the unit should you ever need to.

Yes, what Paul says sounds exactly right and it's the old "Temp" file, which was scrapped a long time ago, getting re-loaded every time.

There was an announcement about it in the "Dedicated Subscribers" forum section at the time (Announcement - Removal of TEMP Files), but there's so many sections it can be easy to miss things.

In simple terms, every new download of the database from PGPSW is complete (and hopefully pretty much up to date!) so removing everything from your POO folder on the PC and the satnav itself and starting afresh is a good idea.
