Amending waypoints

I have just returned from the Dolomites walking the AV1. The last day's data has put extra waypoints in where it temporarily lost the signal ina valley and has completely skewed the route adding a lot of additional waypoints. I could delete the waypoints from the active 10 by converting track to trail, activating and editing the route by deleting the waypoints one by one, that's after you work out which one to delete!
There has got to be a better way to edit the waypoints surely so I can have a realistic profile of the route.

I have saved the files as GPX files on my laptop converting the RAW files as well as the MAP files
