The correct map will be offered for you to purchase/ upgrade to by using TomTom Home, there is no selection available to an end user as to which maps are available - Mike |

|
|
I downloaded and successfull installed the Fall NA map update v855.2884 last night. Now, this morning, when connected to TomTom Home, I receive a message at the top that says "Your map has not been updated for more than 20 weeks. Unfortunately, MapSure map corrections are temporarily unavailable." I have confirmed that v855.2884 is on my device.
Anyone have any ideas? |

Yep, a faulty message by faulty software. We're all seeing it.

I just downloaded Europe North zone (855.2884) in 42 mins. One thing is that with the W&CE map zone I got the message as reported above, with this map I don't get any message about mapshare. |

After reconnecting I now get the message. One thing for sure TT always gives us something to talk about. |

It seems to leave the postcodes file well alone.
My Go 540 which upgraded to 855 maps using LMG still has version 801 of the postcodes file. TomTom efficiency strikes ago
But at least upgrading the same new map on two devices didnt involve two downloads - Home has the wit to realise that it already has a copy stored on the PC. Presumably if they read this they will remove this facility as well _________________ TomTom Go 540 - V9.058, Map GB & Ireland 860.3101

Have a look in this forum section index and at the top is a sticky thread that includes a download link to the latest PostCode data, its still at V850 at the moment but this usually gets an update within a few days of a new map release.
As for Home updating the PostCode files forget it, the only "wit" it has is "Quarter Wit" (yes I know the saying is "Half wit" but think about it ) - Mike |
