When entering Change Preferences I find that Showing POI on Map, Manage Favourites and Manage POIs are all greyed out - even when I am getting a full 5 bars reception.
Has amyome any suggestions? _________________ Furry Fred

Something wrong there, those options should be available regardless of reception _________________ Darren Griffin |

Can you confirm you have the proper map selected? _________________ David |

When you connect to Home and go to 'Manage My Go' what items are on your device? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

With no POI files or favourites stored then some of the greyed out icons are correct, although, if this is indeed the case then where have the built in POI files disapeared to - Mike |

Thanks for your input.
The POIs were still there and had not disappeared!
I agree that the signal strength should not have had any effect on the way that the software was working.
The problem occurred on the TomTom only - when "Manage my TomTom" on Home was used then everything worked!
The map was the same as I have ben using for the last 4 months without problems..
However . I decided to risk the download to v9.058 - and, lo a d behold, it then decided to work!!!
Let's just hope that no more problems arise. _________________ Furry Fred

If the options weren't available in Home when using the emulator then I wouldn't bother about it.
Nothing TomTom Home does or doesn't do these days is a surprise, its about the most useless crap software I have on my own computer. I only use it when I really need to and never bother with emulator etc - Mike |

Wow, nice bit of therapy - thought I was the only person who did not bother with the emulator! I've rejoined the human race. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]
