Hi,

Sorry if this question has already been asked but my google search came up with no answers and the worse than useless TT support were no help at all and didnt even reply to my email!

Recently I noticed my TT 930 that has worked well since I got it has developed a fault
I no longer have the function available to speak an address, the icon is now missing

I can download 2 Computer voices but when tap test there is no sound, so consequently no POI warnings spoken.

and last I can no longer get a signal for TMC its always searching no green circle, nothing has changed aerial wise.

I have a full backup done through explorer and am quite familiar with file shifting

My unit uses an SD card the required spec fopr the TT and all my files are on the SD card.

Is there any of you guys who can help please I know there is more knowledge here than at TT tech support.

Thanks in advance

Steve

Start with the easiest attempt to correct......

Restore (using Explorer) your backup.

I copied the larger folder over and replaced the smaller one and now I get computer voices.

So I guess the only function not working now is the spoken command feature when entering an address.

In the asr folder, check that there is a text file called support_asr.dat with only a 1 in it, no quotes, nothing else.

Also, make sure it really isn't there as support_asr.dat.txt (in other words, have your folder settings to show extensions for known file types).

You had a LoquendoTTS folder on both the card and the built in memory, probably caused by the Navcore update being installed to the card when it should have gone on the device. You should only ever have a single LoquendoTTS folder and it needs to be on the same storage medium as the Navcore software is stored.

In addition to the suggestion from dhn make sure that the cspeech_GBR.dat file is in the Western_Europe map folder - Mike

Hi Guys thanks for your continued help with this.

Dhn I have checked for the support_asr.dat.txt in the location you suggest and there is no file of this name in there

Mike I have checked for cspeech_GBR.dat file in the Western_Europe map folder and its is there.

Any suggestions how I can get the support_asr.dat.txt file that Dhn talks of please.

Cheers

Steve

Glad you got it sorted.

Yeah, for all its faults, Toronto isn't a bad place as large cities go......
