Will the voice alerts work with USA maps or is there a special version that I haven't seen ?

There's no reason why voice alerts shouldn't work with US maps.
The only question is whether anyone has made a set with the right words spoken.
You may need to have a listen to the individual voice alets files to see if they have the right speeds for you.
What speeds are the cameras at in the US?

Alternatively, if you have a TomTom with Text to Speech, it is a fairly easy matter (if rather long-winded) to type in whatever you want it to say or to rename the camera data files and set the voice to read out the file name.

Thanks Andy, Doesn't appear that there are any voice alerts suitable for USA maps, there is one for EU but that's it. I have the old type Go 700 so it looks like I will have to do without the alerts, thanks again for your input, in addition to our speeds there appear to be 25-35-45-55and 65 limits,

Colin

I which case, there is no reason why you can't use the speeds we do have for the UK from the speed-zoned sets plus a generic "Speed camera" warning from the "consolidated" sets for the others.

All you need to do is to match the audio files to the camera data files.
If you are using "Method 1" from the voice install instuctions you would rename the audio files to match the names of the camera files (presumably just substituting "US" for "UK" or whatever - I'm guessing as I haven't checked the exact names)
If you are using "Method 2" you just put the audio in the sounds folder and match them to the camera data during the "warn when near" setup.

I'm supposed to be leaving for holidays in 2 minutes so I can't go into more detail, but one of the other regulars should be able to give you any more advice you need.
