Voice control of GPS

Here's an idea, dunno if its been thought of before.

Is there any software out there that will recognise your voice for letters and numbers.

I want to use something in say TomTom and be able to say 'navigate to' and then when the address screen comes up say

10 D O W N I N G S T R E E T (one letter at a time)

and so on so that I dont have to use the stylus, is there such a software?

Not really. There are two attempts at that

- Microsoft Voice Control - can only start applications, but not navigate in the application
- TeleType - has a voice recognition training, so you can do quite a lot of stuff with that. But as far as I understand, spelling an address is not part of it.
