Navteq Traffic

Navteq traffic launched in the UK to pretty much no fanfare whatsoever a few months ago, having looked at the website their main page now shows UK traffic data.

It seems to show a huge amount of data, and plenty of reportedly slow moving roads. It seems to dwarf even HD traffic in actual road coverage.

How good is it? I'm not sure. Difficult to tell the actual accuracy of the data.

It doesn't appear that the data shows up in travel times when you calculate a route through it at this stage.

As far as I'm aware no GPS supplier has taken it on board as yet, but it will be interesting to see how it develops.

Anybody heard anything about it?
