Traffic and O2 GPRS - Problems

The way I have TT traffic to work as well as the quality of its information allows, is to use regional maps rather than the whole UK map. By doing this you only download the traffic data for that region which also saves on GPRS costs. With the smaller amount of data to handle the application then works without the lockups and missing data. It also starts up in a fraction of the time.

Do you really need to be using the map including Scotland and checking Scotland's traffic when you are driving in London? Likewise if you are in Scotland and use only that map, you will only have a fraction of the traffic data to download.

As I live in London, I use the 16MB map of London which actually covers a fair bit of the surrounding counties. (Reading-Clacton and the South Coast). I also have the South East and the UK Maps installed in case I need to go further.
