I thought v8.50 W&CE ( and all the v8.50 range for that matter ) had been released already?
Does TT have a release date for different models but not the same map? _________________ TomTom 700 GO user since Dec 2005.

There are still a number of v8.50 maps to be released - W&CE and W&CE 2GB are still not out for the models with IQ Routes. I also think some of the North America variants are still not released.
Rumour has it that TT have to shrink the maps fo fit them on the devices with 2GB internal memory. |

I would quite happily take the larger maps unless they are to big for a 4 gb card.

And who would be responsible for supplying the SD Cards?
Plus the installation wouldn't be so straight forward as you'd have to install to the SD card and not the internal memory, switch from the internal maps to the SD card etc
I can see that move generating loads of calls to TomTom CS.
It also looks like we might be getting a new NavCore (9???) too... |

Think before you leap - the next version will probably go a few more steps backward, including disabling 3rd party POI support (pgpsw cameras). _________________ Dennis

Well the ones still waiting for the 850 maps. 740, 750 and some of the XL models.
I'm just guessing from the promise from TomTom

maybe then as the Nav9 for the XL LIVE was released a few weeks ago, and there was me thinking you knew something the rest of us didn't
I would also hazard a guess that any device that supports IQ Routes 2 that is still running Nav8 and hasn't had new maps released yet will more than likely get a Nav9 upgrade at the same time. |
