Go 540 - Un-removable Live Annual Subscription Reminder

Just today, I noticed when trying to use google on my device, I was presented with the following dialog box after trying to search.


So, not wishing to do so right now I clicked no and was then returned to the search box without any actual search being performed. Not much help.
So my only other option was to run the search again and click yes to the request to extend the subscription (hoping it would allow me to continue to the search).
After clicking yes, I was then presented with the following dialog box.


Then, having clicked on Continue it just returns to the search input box and never actually allows me to perform a search! This is the same process it follows for Weather and for Google Search. Traffic appears to be ok and I don't use any of the other Live services.

Am I missing something obvious to by-pass this or is it another TomTom faux-pax?
