My second attempt downloaded 2011_10a, you mention _10b. Have Garmin issued another update? |

Give it a try tonight. |
I also noticed that it seemed to be 2010_20 rather than _30 which was being updated, according to Downloads screen.
does anyone know if this has to do with problem, reportedly in Italy, with 2010_30(a,b,c,d)? |

yes, seems to be a new version there. I'm grabbing a copy now.

Hi Guys, how does the "cock-up" affect the upgrade?
Does it simple not D/L or just load an old set of maps on the machine/
I've just got a nuvi 265W and don't know what's there fault and what's mine. _________________ VEGETARIAN

Are there still problems with Europe 2011.10? I have a numaps lifetime sub and only just got an email telling me the update is available, I've updated my unit software, downloaded the new web updater software, and tried three times to download the maps to my pc, to no avail. Each time, after two hours downloading I get a message saying 'failed to install' then another message saying my maps are up to date! I have several freshly created directories on my pc with no files in them. I've had no problems with two previous updates and have plenty of space on the hard disk.
My unit is an old Nuvi 200 with a 2Gb SD card (GB&I on the unit, mainland Europe maps on the SD card). Any constructive comments welcome! |

I downloaded without problems but installation on my 660 was a pig. MapSource kept telling me that the file was too big so I switched to MapInstall. That gives a bar chart which had plenty of room and then after building index fles said it was too big. When I finally managed a satisfatory install I found that it had left behind on the 660 2010'30 GB & I, taking up needless space! |
