Just discovered this on one of the German forums.

http://www.navigating.de/cms/index.php?id=5655 you will need to put it into Google Translate, but looks like a number of changes have been made, in particular the interface looks much nicer.

Navigating.de have confirmed that an English version of v4 is coming, but no confirmed date yet.
Have seen that discounts are being offered on the upgrade, but unfortunately some people who brought v3 within a few days of v4 coming out are not given the upgrade for free.

Just something to think about if you are looking to buy PoiWarner.

Also note that some functions ONLY work with version 7.6 of Navigon software, remember that not many Navigons are currently running 7.6 it would seem PoiWarner may have got ahead of themselves in releasing this. Rolling Eyes

Sounds very much to me that this will be for mobile phones, eg iPhone, rather than dedicated satnav units Question Confused

Nope it's for Navigon!!

take a look at www.poibase.com http://www.poibase.com/de/kompatibilitaet/?L=2
Navigon under development, as Poibase is what PoiWarner is going to work with.
Screenshots on the site also show Navigon screenshots.
http://www.navigating.de/cms/index.php?id=5688 look at the screens under POI-Kartenanzeige section.[/list]

Thanks for that jonandmarkuk Razz . Ever the eternal pessimist though, I assume then it will be for the current 84XXs, etc. of this world rather than the 'defunct' 83XXs like mine Evil or Very Mad ? Still, when I've saved up my euros for the fantastic developments you know nothing about ( Rolling Eyes ) it at least looks like we'll have POIs properly displayed on the screen map at last, integrated with Navigon's own POIs Very Happy

So maybe this was what Navigon was talking about at Christmas then about possible plans to implement user-POI support this year? - get someone else to do it Wink .
