Does anyone know if there are any fixed speed cameras in the Orlando Florida area. It's probably not worth installing the speed cam database if only redlight cameras are present as they are well signposted to warn drivers.
Thanks Very Happy

You could have a look on the submission map - zoomed in you can see not only the icons, but if you click them, it'll tell you the camera'#s ID number. (I'd have a look myself if only I knew where Orlando is).

I presume the original poster is referring to Orlando in Florida, Dennis.

It costs you nothing to install them (except the same time and effort it costs you to install the UK cameras).

Two points

1. I see there is (at least) one possible mobile there

2. Imagine the gratitude of the rest of us if you report some.

dhn Yes, I'd looked in Yorkshire and couldn't find it, then I googled - they've got a Disneyland there!

Yep, Dennis..........technically, it's called DisneyWorld in Florida and Disneyland in California (the original). There are a million (slight exaggeration) other theme parks in the Orlando area and it gets visitors from all over the world.

My wife and I took our grandson there six years ago when he was nine. This was before there was a gps (sat nav) in our life. Would have helped as we (meaning I Crying or Very sad ) took a wrong turn or two.......

Mobiles - 44357@55, 70756@45, 80844@70.

But like I said, jm202067, as a life member can download any database he likes, so in his position I'd download and install and be covered even if I was intending driving a golf cart.

People who say pwnd are odd (and that's my gentle side speaking - I really should be doing all the grumpy I can before I stop being 70).

Vera and I went round Europe pre satnav in 2004. We never took a wrong turning - because we didn't know where we were going, except outward we were going that way and inbound we were coming this way. We DID occasionally take an unexpected way (like coming out of a hotel in Sondrio, Italy, one morning and turning left instead of right [for France] - I imagined the van was pointing north, not south), but if we hadn't we'd never have seen "St Moritz, Daaahlings". Is that pwnd?

There are quite a few mobile sites in there for the Florida area. I always manage to grab a couple each time I go over.

I was interested that you dismissed the Red Light Cameras. I always install them as although I dont intend to jump red lights they are often situated at junctions where others do. It is a good warning to take extra care for the other idiots on the road...

Wise words Mike - 'amber gambling' seems to be the norm these days whilst on Sunday I saw three drivers jump a red light.

Back in my pre Alzheimer days, they had a "Turn Right on Red" rule. Is that no longer in force?

That is still the case unless there is a sign prohibiting it. However you do have to come to a full stop before turning.

There are also red light cameras that detect if you dont come to a full stop and will ticket you.

We also have a left turn on red IF the road you are turning on is one-way (the direction you are turning, of course).

Most people don't do it or don't know the rule.......
