Which file to save? (for Favourites etc.)

TT have emailed me to let me know that new maps are available. Now last time I did this I lost all my saved poi's, favourites,voices,cams etc. Basically I ended up with a TTXL with a clean install.

Somebody did mention how to avoid this by saving one of the files with the required info within it, can somebody tell me which file that was please.

MapSettings.cfg which you will find in the old map folder, it might make the unit conatantly re-boot if you put the old MapSettings.cfg file in to the new map folder, connect the device to Home and alter a favourite and it should be OK after that - Mike

If you convert you favorites into a POI category, you won't need to faf about when you do a map update, as they won't get overwritten.
