Hi,
Can someone please confirm which in-car power adapter comes with the Garmin nuvi 1690 (i.e. Garmin one or another make/model)...
TIA |

it's a CLA05D-050A which has 'GARMIN' printed on it but also PHHONG who I assume make it for Garmin. It has a squared-spiral that lights up blue when plugged in.

xander, in case gatorguy confused you above he's referring to some posts i made on twitter recently! i'm currently writing up my review of the 1690 and it's currently at around 2100 words... i generally get carried away when writing reviews, but at least it'll be thorough

No worries... Having had a few Garmins in the past, the quality of the power adapter didn't seem to be on par with the rest - Looks rather aftermarket/cheap... Also I find that the built in speaker hisses, sometimes makes clicking noise (like a mobile phone poling for a signal), and directions sound distorted a default volume... |
