TS 6000T / Gopal 510t Update

All,

Pardon my lack of knowledge here, I am trying to help out a buddy with his GPS.
The model is the TS 6000T which I believe is the same as the gopal 510t.

Last set of maps were from 2006
Mobile Navigator v5.2

I am quite computer savvy but don't know anything about the Navigon systems.

- I would like to find out how to update maps if it is at all possible.
- I read about mn6 and mn7 but have no clue how to update this
- Navigon website is pretty bad for a step by step on this model, I tried to get the Navigon Fresh but when I connect the GPS to the computer it doesn't recognise the unit (no drivers), and Fresh allows you to use the SD card in a reader instead, but I have tried that and it says no Navigon software was found on the card.
- I also read something about unlocking it, but don't know what that is all about.
My goal is to just update the maps and possible this MN5 to a later version, the speed camera support is not nessecary.
