We have a Garmin and a TomTom. Both decent models. The Garmin graphics, by comparison to my TT, look like something you might see on a child's toy and there is an ugly large fixed menu/status bar at the base too that looks like the product of 5 minutes work from the software designer.
Nor can it be customised easially with your own POI or Icons.
The very latest 800's may be better but I've yet to hear any Garmin owners bragging. _________________ TT Go 920T

To be fair, Garmin is much more popular in North America than is the Tom Tom brand.
They both have strengths, weaknesses, and ......... issues! _________________ David |

I must just plump for an upgrade but here's a thought that might amuse. Thever happened to Guam? Some of you may recall this came as part of the map pack with early versions of TomTom and Navigator and now I can't see it on their list. Has global warming taken its toll and the island slipped below the surface?
Happy New Year to Darren and all the team: your work is appreciated
