HI All

If a reversible camera is in the middle of a duel carriageway is it shown on the map as 2 icons or just 1?

Regards

If the map treats each side of the road as a separate carriageway, it is necessary to have 2 icons, one for each carriageway, if it is a single reversible camera. Otherwise there is a risk one carriageway wouldn't sound an alert.

HI Paulb2005

Will both the cameras have the same number?

Each cam must have a unique number. The fact that we put two in the same location(ish) is explained above.

I've often thought it would have been good to give the second "camera" position icon the same number as the real one, but with an "A" after it, to show it isn't a real camera. (i.e. GATSO:12345 and GATSO:12345A)

But I think the idea came too late and would mean a lot of work to re-code the database, so it wasn't deemed worth it.
