Got a myguide 3100 followed great instructions to install igo 8, with 2008 uk maps (8.0.0.41506)...but have not got any POI. I have tried dl some but i'm not sure how to get them in the right place in the satnav files?

Please can anyone recommend POI for igo 8 and where i can it, also step by step guide how and where to install it.

I have read at length other users with similar problems, but none seem to exactly relate to me!

you need to use 'kml' format files. there are various ov2 to kml conversion utilities on the internet (simply google something like "convert ov2 to kml")

from our igo 8 review i can tell you:

you can add custom POIs using Google Earth's .kml format. Copy these files to \Storage Card\iGO8\CONTENT\USERDATA\POI (you may need to create these sub folders) and then restart iGO 8 – remember if you want them to display on the map to turn this on in the Manage section of the software! When searching for the user-added POIs the software automatically adds the address details according to it's location on the map - this is a very nice feature. Be warned though, that it may take a while to import the data and the loading screen will appear to 'hang' saying 'STARTING' in the corner.
