Speed camera lines

How far along the lines in the road do you have to be for the camera to still trigger? Only ask this as i was going about 28mph past a camera and was almost to the end of the painted lines when i think someone set it off, i was doing about 32mph by then according to the gps. There were other cars under the camera so i'm sure its not me. Just curious as i'm bound to be in the pic slightly over (2mph) will they even bother with that?

It's usual to allow 10% over the limit + 2mph, so in a 30mph limit the camera would trigger at 35mph, ignoring your Sat Nav, allowing for an error on your speedo by up to 10% (over reading) your speedo would have to be showing 38.5 mph to trigger that camera.

Theres always the possibilty that a car travelling in the other direction triggered the camera.
