Why not? If in your opinion it is not as good as the database from this site, then you are entitled to your opinion surely? If you back up your opinion with something like 'the garmin DB missed out the camera at xxx road, xxx town' then they have no comeback!

I travel between Manchester and Bristol each week, and there are 6 lots of spec cameras and roadworks on the route. And tomtoms only shows 2 sets of specs on the roadworks and half the cameras are not shown anyway.

There is one part on the m5 around junction 8 where there were speed cameras 3 months ago and it still warns me to go 50 mph to this day. The thing is you do get traffic warnings for roadwoks on the m5 but it just does not show the specs cameras.
You beat me to it! I did Bristol to Preston and back yesterday and there wasn't one single correct specs camera on the TomTom. Coming back on M5 from J8 to J9, those overspeed warnings sent me round the bend. The northbound ones around J11 are equally false. PGPSW cameras were all absolutely spot on.

My understanding is that none of the fancy satnav companies' databases are anywhere near good enough. TomTom and Garmin should drop them and make their devices accept third party POIs properly so that the pgpsw database can be used and with directional information too. It's no use TT having directional capability when their database is rubbish. They are bad enough with MapShare and are just as bad with cameras.

that's what it was. missed 2 cameras in leeds and had an extra, non existant camera on one of the busiest roads in bradford - they claimed i had just publicly announced the location of a 'piracy marker camera' but why put it on such a busy road??!! anyway, 'tis all in the past...

the only reason it was even mentioned in the review of the nuvi was that it came preinstalled so i was literally reviewing the product out of the box!

Specs cameras are usually easy to spot anyway especially seeing as they are in roadworks so you dont really need them to be on the database. It's the sneaky cameras tucked away behind trees that you really need alerting about.

You think ours are sneaky; I've just come back from a short trip to South Africa. While there I saw 2 instances of cameras that would terrify UK drivers.

1. A mobile camera unit - the camera was on a tripod, under a tree, with an operator wearing dark coloured clothing sittin behind it. No van or other warning sign in sight. He was only noticeable once we'd got very close.

2. In the Kruger National Park, there are permanent cameras built into stone pillars by the side of the road - about 3 feet high and just like all the other pillars marking bridge parapets, holding information signs, etc. Again so discreet that you would hardly notice them.
