Hi Nick,

Mikealder is the expert on smartphones but Memory Map usually runs alright on Windows Mobile devices.

Install the application from within MM (to transfer the license key) and then it's quicker to copy maps directly to the memory card. .QCT map files may need to be cut to less than about 300MBytes each, then also copy .QED elevation data and .MMI placenames index files if available.

Cheers, Alan.

That phone doesn't have a touch screen but there is a version of Memory Map that can be loaded to that type of phone - I used it on the wife's MPVc600 a few years ago and to be honest I wasn't too impressed with the software in use on the phone, its too limitted in terms of capability, but it does work showing your position from a GPS receiver on the map.

You will need one of the more recent Memory Map versions as SmartPhone support was introduced as a small update to the version 5 Memory Map, if you have version 5 great, if you only have pre V5 then your maps won't work with the version 5 software and there isn't earlier MM to run on SmartPhone - Mike
