Which phone has the best GPS integrated chip in it?
I have tried some of the applications like tomtom, sportypal, mapmyride on HTC Dream and iPhone, but would like to hear which phone is the best for this type of applications.

Thanks

I have a Nokia N82 with Nav4All, Telmap Navigator 4.5, Google Maps, Yell Maps, iTIS Mobile Traffic Information and the built in GPS options.

I have to say that everything performs adequately, but the small screen is a disadvantage when driving, so I use my TT for On-Road stuff.

The nav options I have also 'snap' to roads, which is no good for country walking, although walking in a city is handled well.

It's not to bad using the positioning option when taking photos, as the information is held in the EXIF information for each frame.

What were you looking to use your unit for? It may help others to come in here if you narrow your requirements down a bit.

I use a Nokia 5800 with Viewranger software for walking off road. The internal GPS receiver performs well once it has found an initial lock, this usually takes a few minutes. I start the Viewranger software before I put my boots on and lay the phone on the car roof, it always achieves a lock before I am ready to walk.
In use the phone is in a waterproof 'bag' made by Overboard which hangs from one of the straps on my rucksack. The 5800 battery lasts all day when walking (GPS chips can drain batteries quite quickly).

Well, i would like to use it mainly for cycling, maybe running sometime. I will put the navigation "just in case". Not like you said using it for nav in a car. I think i made my choice for HTC Touch Pro 2. But I haven't bough it yet.
