| Looking for a low bridge poi and any other poi useful for truckers, also would i load the Low Bridge poi into the same folder as the speed cameras?? |

A search here for 'low' AND 'bridges' brings up quite a list BTW. Eg. in | Quote: | | Low Bridge POI database |
Darren did say in June that PGPSW were in the process of building one as well.

Not really. But it would depend on what's been offered by PGPSW. If the data includes not only low bridges but also width and weight restrictions then its a lot to research and keep up to date. |

Its a Garmin Nuvi 265wt.
Do i load these files into the same folder as my speed cams database??? |

That's correct. We're working on this currently.
The Low Bridge POIs will be a 'Premium POI' set and so available to subscribers only. But there will be no additional charge so subscribers get access to these AND the speed cam POIs for the same fee.

Its a Garmin Nuvi 265wt. |
Then I THINK it will only warn you, not plan routes avoiding them.

On a Garmin you use POI Loader to load the file onto the device.
You can't use POILoader to ADD extra files, you need to do them all at once.
So.... keep all your POI files together in one folder on your PC, and whenever you want to add some new ones (or update the old ones) put them all into that folder and use POILoader again to upload them all in one go. |

Actually on the subject of Low Bridges, I came across the following in a DoT paper ("Impact Assessment of the Traffic Signs (Amendment) Regulations and General Directions 2010 and of the Traffic Signs (Temporary Obstructions) (Amendment) Regulations 2010.", page 12, para 54) - the AA reference mentioned may be known to PGPSW, but just wondering if it is of any relevance/use? | Quote: | | There are no centrally-held records of the precise number of low bridges on Britain’s road network, and no way of estimating how many are currently signed with imperial-only signs. Interesting, you would think that such matters would be collated by Highways or someone wouldn't you!

Whilst I fully agree with you removing the rants, for the purpose of my post which was also removed ( which was a praise and non rant ) can you please re-confirm in print the low bridges POI database will be free to lifetime members for our reference.
NR do have a list of all bridges & heights which affect the infrastructure etc which are all given ID numbers, just like safely cams!

Yes happy to confirm the data will be available to ALL subscribers be they paid or lifetime.
Your post was only removed because it referred to the earlier rant, no issue with your post itself, it was just easier that way.
