|
|
Hi,
My 970T has graphics which seem to lag the actual position of the car by about 20-50 meters. It makes it difficult to see when to turn when two roads are very close together and I keep missing my junctions.
Sound instructions seem to be accurate.
Anyone else noticed this? Any advice on what I might do?
Thanks
Cheers |

Hi,
The only thing I can suggest is a reset of the unit.
Are you running version 7 with updates? _________________ Mike

I take it that it's got slower recently? If so, have you done anything like displaying a lot more POIs than before, or changing the map view, or anything else that might be making the poor old thing get overloaded trying to update the screen?
(If it's always been like that it should probably have been taken back when new).
I think I agree with SpikeyMikey if you can't get it sorted and it's making life difficult, especially with your other problem of out of date maps. It does look as if VM have given up completely, which seems a bit premature to me as the final 2-year support they said they were going to give on the final units sold has still got a bit of time to run I think. But there's not much that can be done and there DEFINITELY won't be any new maps. I had to tearfully pension off my x980 last year.
New/refurbished satnavs needn't cost too much and you should find a few threads about "can anyone recommend a satnav" to see what might suit - but you may know what you need anyway of course. _________________ David

My 970T does exactly this also. Its rather odd - the voice is spot-on, but the display lags. Often the voice will say "turn right in 500m", or so, and the display will show the right turn to be 700m for some few seconds longer. It has always done that - I didn't complain when I bought it, as I have come across other satnavs which also had the same problem. Annoying, though... |

I still vaguely remember a mention of this problem with some VM customers (but many were quite happy), but I don't think there was any real resolution. Maybe a search might help.
Following my comment about support ending prematurely, I have seen a post about the camera database being updated last/this month. So a call to VM may not be in total vain.
Good luck anyway _________________ David
