Tried to use LMG on her new 730, but after 5 hours had not finished, said not enough room, (Maps of Western and Central Europe) She got a 4Gig SD card to write new maps to but got this message from Tomtom Home: said she now have latest map when logging on to home, but internal memory says, can't use map
on this system. she thinks something has stuffed up!!!!!! does Home erase the old map on internal memory before it write the new updated one?
By the way this is for my cousin in australia who bought the 730 when over here a month ago and is trying to update it with the newer above maps for her next trip to Europe. Can anyone shed any light on this for her, Thanks. |

When she first connected to Home, did she select the sd card instead of internal?
Also, it's been reported by some that the latest Home app tries to write to both locations (internal and sd) despite the user only selecting one of them.
Does Explorer show a specific map folder on internal? With stuff in ot?
And is it the downloading that is not working or the installing? If the map has been downloaded, you may want to look at this link for info on installing a map without using Home. _________________ David |

No she did not have a card in at the time of the update, tried to put it on the internal, she has since bourght a 4Gb card.
This is her first unit, and is not sure how to go about it, bit to far away for me to do it for her.
Will speak to her on the phone tonight to fnd out more. 9 hours time difference. Thanks for replying. |
