I have just got a new Nuvi 1490 and downloaded as I did with my old TomTom POI and cameras through the proper downloader.
The icons come up when they want to and now sound with the landmark poi or in fact anything. Some times the camears work? Anyone know how to edit the sounds and make Liz work? and how do I delete the dup cameras from their file??

I download Pcketgpsworld camera base through loader.
I hoped that the lovely voice of Liz would work but it wont speak. Is there a file to put them in manually?
With Tomtom you simply put the camera base straight in the roadfile.
Its driving me mad, it seems as if Garmin dont want third party software added.

The Nuvi 1490 does not have the required mp3 player and so cannot use the mp3 voice alerts.
You maybe able to use wav voice alerts if you convert the mp3s to wav file and load a file called sox.exe onto your PC.
See this thread for some more info. |
