How loud should the warning beeps be?

New user, still finding my way round, and with a few questions in other posts but, for this one; how loud should the warning beeps be? On my Satmap, they are barely audible in a silent room at night (my office) and completely inaudible outside. I know I'm slightly deaf, but its not that bad! In fact I didn't realise until I read the full guide that they were even there! As I understand it, the volume control is for the output jack and in any case it makes no difference to mine. So is it just mine, or are everyone's beeps rather feeble? As a cyclist, it would be neat to set up POIs at junctions on a route to sound when approaching, or is this just an idle wish?

The sounds are very low volume, in fact when outside you cannot really hear them at all - Mike

Thanks for the confirmation - begs the question why have a warning beep that can't be heard?!
