You shouldn't be trying to open the .ov2 files. The guide tells you to COPY them to the device not open them?

Shouldn't he be getting bmp files, not jpg?

Indeed but that could simply be a term the OP uses for any image file. We don't serve .JPEG's so I cannot see how he could get them?

Hi,
Thanks for all your replies.I did copy & paste the file into the poi,s file on my tom tom.
I acessed it via "my computer" and fopund the files with bmp,s in.
dont know if it worked, but my tom tom accepted the files with the red cross for uploading.used the folder containing Uk & IE plus major roads of WE to add the camera database.

Have you followed the guide to set-up and configure them? It's not just a matter of copying them. Also, do you only have a UK map?

When you unzip the files from GPS you will have ?????.bmp & ?????.ov2 files, as pairs where each pair has the same name for each type of camera. These should be copied and pasted into the MAP folder for the map you are using not the POI one you have mentioned.

If you want spoken warnings you also need to download and unzip your choice of voice. These become ?????.ogg files that are also copied and pasted into the same MAP folder. If you have chosen a separate warning for each type of camera they will also have simlar names but its not essential.

Then you have to follow the detailed instructions to be found in the FAQ's section upon how to configure everything to work together correctly.

Its a bit long winded first time round but once done you only have to update when required by downloading new camera files and unzip, copy paste to the MAP file and thats it. You seem to suggest you maybe trying to add them to your POI's folder but you also mention the MAP folder so this point is not clear.

I have a TT510 and it all works OK for me.

I think by file he meant folder, unless he's somehow overwritten the TT POIs file?
