Hello all,

I am new to this forum and also my new Satmap Active 10 Plus, which I am very pleased with.

I understand that it is possible to transfer routes etc from MM to the Satmap and visa versa but having read the Satmap and Satsync documentation I still don't know where to start.

Satmap say convert .map files to .gpx files and from what I can see MM use some other format. I have MM Version 5.3.2. Build 1009

Can any one give me a simple step by step instruction as to how to do this as I read somewhere in Satmap info (before I purchased the A10) that it was easy enough to do.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum John, if you plan a route on Memory Map simply right click on the route and select "Save As" a box will open up which offers by default to save the file as "mmo" format, if you click on the drop down tag to open this a list will appear from which you can choose gpx format.
PS Make sure you click on the route and not a waypoint, if you right click a waypoint you get different options, but not the save as - Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for that, it worked a treat.

Is it possible to transfer routes etc from the Satmap to MM and if so how do I do that.

Thanks

John

Its nearly the same in reverse to the above method, export the route from the active10 using SatSync which will be in gpx format, save the route on the PC.
Fire up Memory Map and choose Overlay/ Import, change the file type dropdown box to gpx and locate the route file you saved to the PC, your active10 route will now be displayed on the PC - Mike
