Speed camera files failed to download at all on my iMac and failed to unzip on my MacBookPro. I've tried shortening the name, as someone suggested, but to no avail. (I've now loaded the files successfully by borrowing a PC and transferring to the Mac, but that's not really a long term option.)
Has anyone else experienced problems with Macs?

It's an issue that crops up quite regularily in the forums. The built-in Mac zip extraction doesn't like the camera database downloads.
You need to use a prog called "Stuffit Expander" which I think is a free download.
(But I wouldn't touch a Mac with a barge pole, so I'm only going by what I've read here Laughing )

Hi, I'm assuming the file downloads onto your desktop.

If you double click it, it wont open.
If you right click - Ctrl click - get the drop down list and select 'open with'.
You get a few options shown (depending on what applications you have installed on your Mac)
Select 'Stuffit Expander app. and away you go.

When you double click, the default programme that the Mac will use is 'Archive utility app', no good for what you want t do.

I have the same problem on my MBP, just remember to use the drop down menu.
You should have Stuffit already, it's pretty standard for Macs, there are other programmes you can use as well.

And in case you weren't aware, 3 of the four of us behind PGPS are Mac users so you can be certain that we want it all to work for us Mac users!

OSX's archive.app is renowned for being very fussy hence the need for a 3rd party alternative. I use unarchiver.app, small, free and does the job.
