What gibbom wants is what I want.
I want to be able to use TTN3 without the GPS sometimes. I want it to stop looking for the GPS after I've hit 'Cancel' in the BT manager.
I don't want it to keep opening the GPS manager asking me what device I want to use. I don't want to have to try and work my way through to the GPS menu (all while BT manager is popping open every 5 seconds) to deselect my GPS. I don't want to hack the registry in a way that'll prevent me from using my other BT devices.
I want it to work like my TTN2/3970 combination did. When I started TTN2 it would look for a GPS device on COM8. If it didn't find one then it just accepted that fact and let me use the program. If it did find one it would use it.

The hack is not preventing you from using other devices. It merely tries to connect to the "last known good" device automatically. You can still run the BTM and connect to whatever device you want. _________________ Lutz

Sorry about that. I'm sure I read on an earlier thread that this hack screwed other BT connections. But I've just tried it and it works fine.
