The file is "MapSettings.cfg" and will be stored in your current map folder, the chances are it won't work with the Go device, it will probably cause it to re-boot constantly so I wouldn't bother trying it.
Convert the file to a Custom POI file (ov2 format) and transfer that to your new toy and it will work, see the FAQ page in the sticky threads at the top of this forum index for a guide on how to do this.
For transferal of map updates give TomTom a ring 0845 161 0009 and they should be able to resolve this issue for you.
A couple of other points:
1/ Make sure when you create an account for the new toy that you use a different e-mail address to the one used on the current device, if you re-use the same e-mail it causes all sorts of issues.
2/ Make a full Windows Explorer back up of the new device before you do anything with it.
3/ Update the Navcore application using TomTom Home.
4/ Use latest Map Guarantee within 30 days of purchase to update your map for free, you only get one shot at this.
5/ When using TomTom Home for downloads/ updates etc make sure you are using a PC with a cabled internet connection, if your PC connects via WiFi this is known to cause problems - Mike |

Just a thought...
But the v2 TomTom One wont have POI editing facilities unless the OP has created a custom menu.
Wait for the OP to come back to us before trying to explain how to hack the device so you can edit and create POI files. |

Read FAQ #15 and you will find it has nothing to do with the capability of the device, the conversion from Favourites to ov2 POI format is performed using the PC - Mike |
